Meet Pastor Jeff

pastor_jeff.jpg Jeff Mullen is currently a full-time school teacher at Heights High School. He felt the 'call' to be our Lead Pastor soon after Crossroads started. We hope you will get a chance to meet Jeff soon and experience his genuine friendship and ministry.

The next message series at Crossroads is “Don’t Ride the Fence!” This series of messages in May and June will focus on the mission field in Bangladesh and the challenging words Jesus says about what it means to be his follower. At Crossroads, we want to partner closely with the Church in Bangladesh and even ‘own’ it as ‘our’ mission. Come ready to be challenged by the lives of sold out and persecuted believers in Bangladesh who show us what “Don’t Ride the Fence!” really means. Join us in May/June for this series.

Small Groups - Crossroads Friends Church 

 

April/May 2009      

We realize that in order to love God, love people and serve the world most effectively, we must have closer connections through a small group. We have several small groups meeting in homes during the week. We'd love to help you find a small group that is a good match for you!

Small Group for Women (20's & 30's)
MONDAYS, 7PM, starting April 6. Meets at Michelle Carpenter's home, 2521 Aloma. Studying the book, "The New Eve". Contact Leader Michelle Carpenter (263-1353). 

Small Group for Young Adults (20's & 30's)
TUESDAYS, 6-8PM, April 7 - May 26, meets at various homes & includes supper. Studying the Alpha Course, a practical introduction to the Christian faith and an opportunity to explore the meaning of life. Childcare available at shared cost. Contact Hosts Matt/Carrie Macy (265-0456) and Chris/Erin Hutson (519-4691).

Study of Proverbs (All Ages)
THURSDAYS, 6:30-8:00 PM at Don & Judie Hickey's home, 13901 Pinnacle. Study of Proverbs: Guidance for Developing Personal Relationships. Contact Leader Don Hickey (733-5773).

Weekly Word Fellowship
WEDNESDAYS, 7:00 PM at Charlie & Mable Mullen's home, 6160 N. Richmond, starting April 8. All Ages Prayer & ‘Bible Study'. Studying Matthew 24 & 25, ‘What Jesus says about the end of time on Earth'. Contact Leader Charlie Mullen (755-1532).

Women's Group (All Ages)

SUNDAYS, 6:30 PM,  looking forward to re-starting in May after a Women's Retreat (May 8 - 9). Studying the New Testament book of James. Contact Leader Jana Mullen (871-9040).

Worship Team

Youth Group
WEDNESDAYS, 7:00-8:30 PM at Lou & Karmen Locke's home, 10615 Hoover, in Sedgwick. Contact Youth Pastor Adam Monaghan (734-4466). All Junior High and High School youth welcome.

 You are invited! Crossroads practices ‘Loving People' in the community of Small Groups. We invite every person at Crossroads to experience the fellowship and spiritual growth that comes from loving others who are on a similar spiritual journey. Also, at Crossroads, the door to ‘Serving the World' is primarily through Small Groups.
