Meet Pastor Jeff

pastor_jeff.jpg Jeff Mullen is currently a full-time school teacher at Heights High School. He felt the 'call' to be our Lead Pastor soon after Crossroads started. We hope you will get a chance to meet Jeff soon and experience his genuine friendship and ministry.

A monthly Leadership Discussion opportunity will be held on the second Monday evening of each month, starting November 10.  We will be watching a video that challenges us in ministry and leadership, followed by a discussion on the state of Crossroads and how to apply principles to our vision.  This is sponsored by the Elders.  Everyone is invited! Contact the church office for more info.

 

Sunday, November 30th will be the next Crossroads SERVE Day. The plan  for the day is to meet at Stucky Middle School to disburse in groups to rake leaves in Bel Aire. Let’s put our “Serving the World” talk into action in this way! We’ll meet back at 1:00 pm for a catered Holiday Dinner celebration together in the Stucky Cafeteria. 

 

CROSSROADS LOVES KIDS!

The theme for November is Make Way For The King!. We will celebrate November birthdays and have missions Sunday on November 9! Twila Flowers will be speaking to the children about her recent trip to Burundi to help with the Kibimba Hospital. Don’t forget to bring your offerings! Small Groups       Oct/Nov 2008    

We realize that in order to love God, love people and serve the world most effectively, we must have closer connections through a small group. We have several small groups meeting in homes during the week. We'd love to help you find a small group that is a good match for you!

Small Group for Young Adults (20's & 30's)
TUESDAYS, 6-8PM, October 7 - November 11 (6 weeks), meets at various homes & includes supper. "The Five Love Languages"  Discussion Group.  Guys and Gals may have separate discussions.  Guys - this won't be weird, we are just going to learn better how to give/receive love to others better (spouse, kids, parents, etc). Weekly Word Fellowship
WEDNESDAYS, 7:00 PM at Charlie & Mable Mullen's home, 6160 N. Richmond, starting October 8. All Ages Prayer & ‘Read through the Bible' (also collecting food for local Wichita food banks). Contact Leader Charlie Mullen (755-1532).

Men's Group

SUNDAYS, 6:30 PM, Starting October 12, meeting in various homes. Contact George Glover (260-1856 or 688-5020 ext 122).

Women's Group

SUNDAYS, 6:30 PM, Starting October 5.  Meeting at Jana Mullen's home, 6800 E. 69th St. N. Studying Liz Curtis Higgs' book, Bad Girls of the Bible. Liz uses the stories of the "bad girls" of the Bible to help women of all ages experience God's grace. Contact Jana Mullen (871-9040).

High School

SUNDAYS, 7:00 PM. Meeting in various homes. Starting Sunday, October 5. Studying Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God during October and November. Contact Youth Pastor Adam Monaghan (734-4466).

7th-9th Grade Group

You are invited! Crossroads practices ‘Loving People' in the community of Small Groups. We invite every person at Crossroads to experience the fellowship and spiritual growth that comes from loving others who are on a similar spiritual journey. Also, at Crossroads, the door to ‘Serving the World' is primarily through Small Groups.

Check out the pictures from some of our summer Crossroads Youth events!

The Jr. High group took a trip to World's of Fun in Kansas City, MO on Monday, June 30th and had a blast!

The High School group went to the Wingnuts game at Lawrence Dumont Stadium in July.

Both groups had trips to the Sedgwick County Zoo in July as well.
